The leaping, growling, prowling on-stage image of Ian Anderson is misleading. Really, he's a quiet, solemn chap. Last week he took solemnity its full course and married 19-year-old secretary Jennie Franks.
Their romance has been a guarded secret for over a year. Not even people who worked with Jennie at Anderson's London agency office, Chrysalis, knew about it.
"I was flabbergasted," said Ian's publicist. "There wasn't a hint of anything but a working relationship. Until a few days ago we knew nothing about the marriage!"
