

The fun didn't stop here, however. After playing 'Cross-Eyed Mary', another backing-tape begins. A rather posh English woman is speaking to her equally posh daughter:
Mother: What's the name of that song they used to play?
Daughter: Oh I know, from their Stand Up album?
Mother: Yes, that's right. It was 'To Cry You A Song'.
Daughter: No no, it was something, uhm . . . 'Jeffrey Goes To Leicester Square'.
Mother: Oh yes, super. That was the one which goes . . .
And they both hum the riff:
. . . Da da da da da dah, da diddy-dee dah . . .
The band themselves then begin the riff, and 'A New Day Yesterday' begins. When the song ends, the tape begins once more:
Mother: No, it wasn't that one at all.
Daughter: No, it must have been something else.
